Peer Reviewing:
Writing is a process involving drafts and learning
to revise. You will be reading each other's
drafts via WebCT.
How to Peer Review: In each small WebCT discussion group, ONE student's
draft will be shared for each essay That student will get full review credit
without having to review a draft. Other students must submit a review for
full
essay credit.
Peer Review Checklist:
This class emphasizes organization in writing because, if the reader is
lost, then all else fails.
Note these main organizational goals:
- Essay 1: is there evidence of close reading?
- Essay 2: is this claim LOCATED among one other critic's opinion?
- Essay 3: is there some FORECAST statement that lists the topics of
the support section?
Read the Peer Review Guideline for
each essay. You should be
notified that these have been posted to Main Discussion at WebCT before each
peer review is due. These guidelines will give detailed help as to how to check
over the student draft.
Peer Reviewing is required for full credit on each essay.
