Situation: You may also wish to chart some
elements of your situation that interact with your
personal points. Remember that in your final
draft you will select among your points for those
that fit the high stakes situation (job application, etc.). Pn the final draft, you
go from listing various
points about yourself to amplifying why certain points about you make you a good match or
a
good selection for an organization.
Stick with one style of development. You may either
wish to show a continuous flow of
the changes in your life or you may wish to do a simple
"then" and "now" picture using each
point in a former and a current position. But also
include "future" in the picture!
EXAMPLE PARAGRAPH SHOWING HOW YOU CHANGED
A HABIT:
I used
to go out four nights a week to a bar, but now I have cut that to a manageable number,
even though I still have a social
life. Since starting night classes, I feel that there is something
that I can keep from my experiences that
will help me down the road.
